Golden Anniversary

On January 7, 2018, Sister Wanda celebrated her golden anniversary of religious vows at the Provincial House in Catonsville. The ceremony was attended by all the sisters of the American Province. The Holy Mass was celebrated by Father Marek Stybor, ofm conv. In his homily, Father Marek emphasized that 50 years of religious vows are a huge sign of immersion in the ocean of miracles. Oceans in which the mainstream presents two characteristics: loyalty and sacrifice. Fidelity understood as discretion as what is invisible to the eyes. And sacrifice, or consent to what God gives us, consent to the cross and devotion to God completely. After singing Te Deum for the 50 years of vowed life, words of gratitude to our Sister Jubilarian was expressed by Sister Superior Danuta Zielińska. In her speech, she thanked Sister Wanda for the gifts which she consistently does like the Three Kings. For the gold of each year and the precious time devoted to others, for the incense of praising God with prayer and song, and for myrrh - the balsam of patience in adversity and suffering. At the end, Sister Danuta wished Sister Wanda that her everyday life would be fruitful for holiness and God’s greater glory. All then joined in joyful praise and thanksgiving to the Lord, singing: "Praise be to God, and peace be on earth for His people."
